Frequently Asked Questions

It’s so easy you will not believe it!  There are 2 ways to do it:

  1. Just send us an email at randilynn@puzzleneck.com.  Include your name, size preference, and any other important details.
  2. If you have an IPHONE, you can text 403.707.8574 and submit pictures, name and puzzle size preference.

If the picture files are VERY large, use an online file drop service such as Dropbox or We Transfer.

All messages are responded to within 48 hrs.  If you do not hear back, that means the message did not arrive in the appropriate inbox.

The 2026 pricing is as follows:

100 piece = $55
300 piece = $60
500 piece = $65

Collage creation (creating a custom masterpiece using multiple photos) is an extra cost and depends on the complexity and # of photos submitted.  Email randilynn@puzzleneck.com and ask about this option.

All prices are subject to change at any time.

Yes we can! Of course, the better the quality of the image (megapixels, size, composition, etc.) the better the puzzle experience. Email the photos to us and we will happily check the quality before confirming the order. Typically with cell phone images, the puzzle is not able to be larger than our 300 piece puzzle as that is when things start to lose quality in the printing portion.

PS: We are happy to make small edits to your images as needed or make a collage out of a group of pictures. This is a great way to ensure an enjoyable puzzling experience.

PPS: We are also able to make a puzzle from a printed photo or piece of artwork. We are set up to digitize physical items and turn them into a puzzle.

Of course, everyone has their own idea of what they think a good puzzle is. We
like to promote puzzles with crisp images, a variety of colours within the image,
and using meaningful content (ie. If you like bumble bees, you would probably
enjoy putting together a puzzle with a few bumble bees in the image. If you are
terrified of bumble bees, then, you probably don’t want to see them included in a
puzzle image).

Yes! We are happy to have visitors and show them our process. If you come by
on the right day, you may even see the press and bagging system in action.
Check out our business hours and call ahead if you can.

We offer a high quality, boutique-like puzzle. Our pricepoint is a bit higher than
the larger companies but that is because we do all the individual steps in house –
in CANADA! We use premium papers, inks and Eska Puzzle Board in each of
our puzzles.

Currently we offer 100 pieces, 300 pieces and 500 piece puzzles. We hope to
expand our offerings in the future. We believe that the majority of custom
puzzles are better at lower piece counts as the piece sizing is less disruptive to
the overall image and most photos do not include enough variety to make for a
fun puzzle. Think of the dreaded all (insert colour of choice) pieces that
sometimes happens, well, the large the piece count the larger the headache you
are gifting yourself or others;). We try to avoid these scenarios by looking at each
puzzle order independently and advise on sizing accordingly.

The process is simple:

  1. Email us your photos, artwork etc. to randilynn@puzzleneck.com
  2. Tell us what size you are hoping to get made
  3. We will confirm receipt of images and advise on what sizing is appropriate
  4. Most puzzles are ready for pick up or shipping within 7-10 of confirmation
    of design/sizing.
  5. Payment is taken once puzzle is ordered.
  6. Canada-wide shipping is available.  A quote will be given prior to finalizing order.

Puzzleneck is a small-ish female led business in the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta.

We are proud to be one of the few puzzle manufacturers in all of Canada!

Puzzle manufacturing is often sourced in Asia, USA, or Europe…Why not make a product here in Canada? That’s our sentiment exactly. We focus on small batch puzzle making that ensures quality over quantity. Canada has a few large and well known puzzle companies but they do not manufacture in Canada, BUT WE DO!

We love traditional-type jigsaw puzzles and truly believe they are great for your mental health.

We partner with local artists and designers to make unique images that bring a smile to your face.

As we are a small business we have to be careful to not over-extend ourselves
and with that comes limited business hours. That being said, outside of those
hours we are not watching TV, we are most likely in the shop and working on our
next project. If you are in the area, stop by and ring the door bell. If we are here,
we will happily show you around.

Aside from locally-made custom jigsaw puzzles, we also have a small but full retail space that carries Ravensburger, Cobblehill, Enjoy, Eurographics and Stand Out puzzles. We focus on bringing in a variety of high quality jigsaw puzzles to satisfy pretty much anyone!

In the near future, Puzzleneck will also stock our own line of puzzles featuring a local flair! Stay tuned for the inaugural release party!
